  1. Still not a fan of EK, but I see where dubas is going. If you could have one of letang EK or smith on the ice at all times that will definitely help your defensive production

  2. Better sign him cause swapping mediocre player for mediocre player has improved this team zero…0

  3. According to Jonathan Alfano on CLUTCH POINTS:

Penguins receive: Erik Karlsson (35 percent retained)

Sharks receive: Jeff Petry, Casey DeSmith, Samuel Poulin, 2024 first-round pick, conditional 2025 second-round pick

  4. How many EN goals against was he on the ice for last year? It really made his +/- look worse than it should have been. We haven’t made a big splash in ages, so why the hell not, we will have to rebuild from scratch in a few years anyways

  5. On the PP, we never ever had a RH guy with a great one timer. What if Letang is on the point and EK on the left wall? Our problem was, all the other team had to do was take Malkin’s one timer away. You simply can’t do that if EK is on the other side.

If we are down and need a goal 5v5, pair Letang and EK together. If we are up one goal and are on the PP, for the love of good leave EK on the bench. In game adjustments, it’s what Sullivan can do and Bylsma couldn’t

  6. Getting San Jose to take Granlund is wishful thinking. If Dubas really truly wants this deal done he'll have to give up Ty Smith and probably another good defenseman or prospect. But forget about salary dumps. San Jose isn't falling for it.
Also, I don't think San Jose is bluffing about letting Karlsson play out his contract at least another year in SJ 🦈 regardless of what he wants to do.
