The Dallas Stars season isn’t over just yet. They squeaked out a wild OT win on Thursday night at the AAC to force game 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights. Joe Pavelski scored his first goal of the season on the power play in overtime to win it for Dallas. He and Jason Robertson were both incredible and deserve a ton of credit for the Stars prolonging their season.

what an effort after what happened in game 3, inculding the absentee tonight, the replamcnets who are players who have barely played at nhl level

I think Pav said it best in his post game interview. "Were not looking to game 7, not to game 6, or even the 2nd period of game 5. We're taking each game and each period 1 step at a time."
The first time this postseason the Stars win a game when their opponent scores first as they win their first playoff overtime game since Game 5 of the 2020 NHL Stanley Cup Final. Their first playoff overtime win at the AAC since Game 6 of the 2019 Western Conference First Round. This is Oettinger's first career playoff overtime win.

I know game 4 is a pivotal game, since the winner of game four wins the series. How many has that happened in nhl history.
Benn’s frustrations..demonstrated early in previous game..like the player who picks a fight to get a lagging team going..is serving not just a two game suspension but also opportunity for Stars to suspend their collective frustration ..minus the veteran Captain ..and just play shift to shift with this winning outcome. The reset button..otr..Cup quest continues..
They should have Mavrik in the lineup next game. Get some experience under his belt before next season

I hope the 2nd and 3rd lines get in gear too. Robertson, as great as he is, can't win this series by himself. Edmonton tried that and failed miserably.

Yes, the stars looked better structurally, broke out cleaner, played with more desperation and had a better FO%. But, Vegas will look 100% diff in Vegas, this was not a must win game that Vegas almost won. I would love the think this was Robertsons coming out game, but he will likely be smothered again w/Vegas having the change advantage. Hope I’m wrong. Lastly, Sutter is done!
