Bertuzzi, Domi, Mayfield, Orlov , saucy, Perry need to be prioritized. Personally I don't see how we move Brodie without resigning Schenn and add 2 of Mayfield, Orlov or Saucy. Lw id take Bertuzzi any day of the week but I would settle for domi.
1st Bertuzzi won’t come to Canada, He’s refused from reports I’ve heard of to be traded to teams in Canada ,,, the solution to me is simple and not at the same time,,, you need to trade a core 4 member for a top D then you have $ to change the identity of the team,,, plus you have another top D that can play on another pair than Rielly ,,, and when you’re in a playoff game and you have a top 4 where you have your top 2 Defensemon different pairs you can now shut down better teams and have a much better chance at Winning in the playoffs,,,

Find a way to make it work with the cap. I’d rather have all 3 of these guys than Marners 11 mil.
Although Bert would be good I think we need to add at least 3 Defenseman maybe even 4 if Schenn doesn't sign. Keep Schenn, McCabe, Reilly and if possible add Orlov, Gudas and Dumba and then work on the Offence. I do agree Bert is way better than Bunting. Bunting is a third or fourth liner and by putting him on the 1st line his value was over inflated. Anyone who plays on that first line will look better than they really are.
He'll be the only one fighting but since we only have one person he better be marners bodyguard in the playoffs so he can do his damn job
Been saying it for a couple years now, i want to see Bertuzzi in the blue and white. Imo hes the missing piece in that top 6. Sandpaper guy with a scoring touch and as we seen, he can perform in the playoffs, when given the opportunity. I would bring him in on a 5-6 year contract at 5-5.5 million per. Treliving is crazy if he dont atleast pick up the phone and somehow try to make the money work. This Bullshit about needing another top 6 scoring forward is ridiculous. We need a solid 50 point player that can finish checks, fight, and piss people off but still can keep their emotions in check. Thats how you win in the playoffs.
Didn’t you just witness a team winning the cup with possibly the best defense in the NHL? Why is it Leaf fans think adding forwards to a team bereft of good defensemen is the answer?
Agree Zack, they had nobody to get the puck in the corners and cause havoc in front of the net. Bert would be the ideal add and Barbersev would make the difference in the bottom 6.

If Your First Basemen in Baseball is Standing Behind Your Pitcher Every Pitch, Would You Notice?
Ice Hockey has 5 Skating Zones that need a Player in Each Zone.
The Leafs Management Don't seem to Understand this Concept and Since Gilmore and Clark, Haven't even come Close to having a Management that Likes a Good Positional Hockey Forward.
They always Prefer the Star that doesn't like to Play Positional Hockey and Just Float Around Looking for an Intercept and try to Score.
That is Mathews , Marner and Nylander wont do Their Jobs in the Playoffs Leaving Tavaras to make Up the Zones that those 3 Floaters Wont Play on the Ice
Tavaras is always Playing Short Handed Even when Toronto is on the Power Play, because those Player that don't Cover the Zones Properly.
The Goalie has His Own Zone and the Leafs always Put an Extra Player in Their Goalie Zone causing the Goalie to be Blocked too much.
Plus the Extra Goalie makes it Easier for the Opposition to Control the Puck in Your End because Your Playing Short Handed Again when it is Unnecessary.
That is what your asking all the Canadian Hockey Players to do. Act like a Monkey on the Ice so the Teams Favorite Player doesn't have to Work for the Win like a Common Canuck.
Keep Bunting with Bertuzzi and Dump the Floaters in Mathews, Marner, and Nylander.
You keep Blaming the Players that have to Play Short Handed Every Shift because Your Idols wont do Their Job Correctly.
You Fans that don't know that Ice Hockey is a Zone Dominating Game, and Your Favorites can Play the Game Correctly.
So You Bad Fans cause the Death of Belak and Boughner because You don't know how Hockey is supposed to be Played.
If Mathews can't Fight for the Puck in his Zone, Why is He on the Ice at all.
Because the Management like Him and will eat Dinner with Him, but not You .
