  1. Resuming play with less light than at the end of a day in Rawalpindi is an absurd umpiring decision imo

  2. This is why test cricket in England is so fascinating to watch. 2 days of flat batting conditions and then as soon as it is overcast, the pitch & the ball starts talking 🔥🔥🔥

  3. Yes crazy to declare when Root as well as Robinson where looking good and scoring so quickly they could have got another 30,40 or even more

  4. England will lose the Ashes because of their hubris. There are times in test cricket when you have to adapt to the conditions. Duckett had no right playing at that ball knowing that he needed to see out about 15 minutes.

  5. That dec was much more than a "pugnacious" choice for this match, it was a statement that laid down law and set the tone for the entire series. "We mean business."

It was a boss move. And sure, it might backfire. Who cares! Stokes doesn't, and England don't. That's already legend status, rught there.

We're not going to lose 5-0, but we might lose 3-2 having played to the philosophy and entertained the world.

I think we'll win 3-2. And Aussie will be winners too, as will the format.

  6. The fact England are not 50 further ahead is Stokes fault in declaring. Absolutely crazy. Cummings ridiculous captaincy and field placing has England as close as they are. If these three days are what bazzball offers by way of improvement, then OZ must be strongly favoured to win all five given this most unhelpful pitch. OZ have twice the chance of taking 20 wickets than England bearing in mind they have the top three test batsmen not including Uzzi and the best attack. Also OZ prepared for the Ashes by winning the test world cup. England prepared by playing golf. Either an arrogant dismissal of OZ or a misguided belief in the omnipotence of bazzball. We have to tell the truth about bazzball. It's just T20 played over 5days. Test cricket is the game played over 5 days, anything else is called 'practice'.

  7. Hopefully someone should speak on ollie Robinson celebration. Should put more energy into bowling quicker than mid 120’s rather than send offs to a bloke on 140 odd

  8. Wicketkeeper is such an important and pivotal position; you need to pick your best one.

  9. There was no reason to declare other than to get them to bat a bit that evening, which seemed a little silly really. Bairstow isn't the best keeper, but he is the best batter out of the keepers. There's no room to put another keeper in and keep Bairstow in. Unless someone else wants to open

  10. That decision to declare was ridiculous and is proving to be so you can't declare against Australia
