Hardly surprising when you think he is the current V8 Supercars champion. He has won 3 x V8 Supercar Championships, Won 80 / 399 races with 174 podiums and 46 poles

Shane has done Bathurst a few times, for him NASCAR and the American competition is nothing more than a Sunday drive on a sunny day. Good work Shane – smashed them!

I've been watching The Giz in the Aussie Supercars pretty much since he entered the motorsport, and it was plain as day he was a natural, with all the hallmarks of a champion to be.
His winning at this new level in touring cars does not surprise me one bit.

NASCAR Finally realized that road racing is more exciting than oval racing.
People have been musing all week about SVG winning NASCAR and how it would change autosports. I have been watching super car video and plan to watch along with thousands of new Yank fans! Svg changed more than just American racing?
NASCAR will do anything to try and get their ratings up. Like hyping this as some great deal that SVG is the first driver to win his debut race in 60 years. Seems to me that is like bragging up Lia Thomas for dominating a women's swimming event. Nice try NASCAR but you can't fool me or many others!
Shane is not someone I want behind me with 5 to go in ANY stock car race. The guy is elite and V8 Supercars are more wils than NASCARs.

Thr move by Shane to let him go by so he could just repass – chefs kiss thats why he is working on his 3rd straight Supercar championship and 12hrs of Bathurst winner. Rest of the field didnt have a chance if he was near the front at the end.
Those poor goobers didn't know what hit em. Figuratively of course because svg raced clean, passed clean. No need to cause a caution every 6 laps like crashcar does every other week.
No wonder why crashcar stands are empty.

Big credit to Van gizzy, but you really gotta hand it to the mechanics…to pull away by 10+ car lengths in one lap…particularly the final lap where everyone is full throttle…thats a bangin engine.!

Svg had 16 lap better tires then guys in front of him cuz of shortene race, ao it made those last passes look easy. He was not fastest the shortened race gave him win. Faster guys got traped in back before they knew about race being shortened
SVG is class but it doesn’t say much about the quality of nascar drivers if a guy rocks up day 1 and smashes everybody!!
Let’s not forget he isn’t some young kid just starting out. He has been racing and winning in probably the best touring car series on the planet for a long time now. The dude is just fast in any car he is given.
