Selkirk Sport, a made-in-the-USA manufacturer of pickleball paddles and accessories, is a family-owned and operated company based in Hayden, Idaho, located in the shadows of its namesake, the Selkirk mountain range. Founded in 2014, Selkirk Sport is born off a passion for sport, as well as the great western outdoor leisure lifestyle that was afforded to the Company’s founders, Rob and Mike Barnes, along with their father Jim, who is Selkirk’s production manager. Backed by the philosophy of always pushing the limits, Selkirk Sport is committed to manufacturing products that deliver the highest performance with unmatched quality and service. As part of its early success, Selkirk Sport was the very first pickleball manufacturer to offer an unprecedented lifetime warranty on its high-performance products. And, to meet the demands of the game’s premier professionals, the company developed low-profile edge guards that are lightweight and extremely durable. Selkirk Sport has become one of the industry’s fastest-growing companies with paddles used by many of the game’s premier players, such as Tyson McGuffin, Parris Todd, Dylan Frazier, Mary Brascia, Maggie Brascia, Wesley Gabrielsen, Cammy MacGregor, and a host of others who are premier players and national/regional champions.

  1. I can't believe I'm watching McGuffin do an illegal serve every single time and get away with it.

  2. After seeing how much Tyson was celebrating his points and how his emotions affected his mentality… I knew from the first 15 min that he was going to lose.

He started playing sloppier towards the middle and end. Lacks focus.

Ben is mentally stronger and more focused

  3. I’m not a pickle baller…but I think it’s hilarious how these announcers are talking about how hard these guys are working, how their legs are so fatigued, etc. I’m sorry but I can’t take that serious at all. Djokovic, federer, nadal 5 set nearly 5 hour bloodbaths at majors is hard on the body. Let me see either of these two pickle ball guys put their bodies through what those others have and maybe I’ll take em somewhat serious

  4. Is there any real money in "professional" pickleball? I chuckle just typing that. This is supposed to be a fun, recreational, accessible alternative to tennis and people have created a monster out of it.

  5. CHANGE THE RULES……… ALLOW THE FOREHAND SERVE…. THEY DON'T CALL IT ANYWAY.

  6. All these ppl confidently declaring serves illegal — please don't become refs. If not 100% certain, no call is the best call.

  7. I grew up on the tennis circuit, and I also played a lot of racquetball and paddle tennis; I've never played pickle ball. But, what I noticed immediately — both with McGuffin and Johns (and all others that I've watched) — is the fact that there's much too much back-and-forth "finesse" shots at the net, and too little "banging away" (read: hit the ball directly at your opponent, and hit it hard, before the finesse shots even begin!). I believe that the odds for scoring would favor the banger rather than the finesse player, and, at least, it would make the game a lot more interesting to watch.

Just as importantly, the players MUST develop their backhands, whereby they can make their passing shots (low and hard ala Federer) from the backcourt, and not just use the stroke for a punch ball at the net. HIT AWAY NOW, BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE THE GAME WILL BE IN A YEAR OR TWO!

  8. Wow another video of the dude who always serves illegally. If the rules arent even going to be enforced why even have the rules then.

  9. I swear Tyson is overheating. He keeps drying off his sweat every couple rounds. Look how red he is in the end of the 2nd game.

  10. Guff is a small guy. He could damn near overhead it and be serving around the same height as johnny boy.
