Detroit Red Wings Incredible Shift Game 5 2009 WCSF (HD)
The Wings toy with the Ducks for about two minutes. It looks like a powerplay but it isn’t. Datsyuk has a few incredible moves, including one where he flips the puck over the net for a scoring chance.
Too bad the Wings didn't maintain this intensity against the crysby and the penguins. It was their cup to lose… just a shame that they did. I'm still pissed about it.
@jfk6797 you mean in that pitched series? yeah i can understand them losing when the NHL moves the series up 8 days (against hte rules, can only be moved if both teams played only 4 games), Redwings were injured and needed rest after traveling back and forth between anaheim. Malkin didnt get suspended for game 3 after the misconduct in game 2. Game 7 was a joke, First goal was Icing that didnt get called. also lets not discuss that 30 second 7 men on the ice for pittsburg.
Anyone else catch Zetterberg giving the puck away and Pavel re-steals it and then dangles 2 ducks before making a drive to the net? Holy shit, Datsyuk went super saiyan on this shift
Watch at 2:06, you can see Dan Cleary hinting to Datsyuk to flip the puck over the net. This is why the Red Wings are one of the best teams in the world when it comes to hockey. They have anything and everything planned.
This is the difference between a skilled team and a tough guy team. The skilled team can and will always run circles around goons and thugs. I don't care that people say the Wings are soft, because if they can do things like this, who needs goons?
@Kaksisekuntiaaikaa Thanks for agreeing that's too kind. Yeah the Wings have one but they aren't head hunters like that fine group of individuals you listed. Our grind line is consisted of hard workers and skaters that get to the dirty spots. I have yet to see Helm or Draper knock someone out with an elbow or keep trying to start shit with other players. If you have video of them doing that, then please, pass that along.
@Kaksisekuntiaaikaa Actually if you read my comment closely you would see that I am in fact talking about the Red Wings checking line (see the part where I mention Helm and Draper). And my original comment was talking about the Ducks' goons and why the Wings don't have many if any at all. In my second comment as I talked about the checking lines for both, I again bring up goons. You said every team has one and I said that there are differences between teams grind lines. Like goon to hardwork

@your0inspiration How are they awful?
this is how the wings get into an opposing teams head. they will NOT let that puck leave net side.
@your0inspiration You're a fucking idiot.
pure talent.
@your0inspiration Hey loser, has anyone told you you're an idiot yet?

Why didn't they have the little power play thing on the score board? lol

I searched "Detroit Red Wings Incredible Shift" and it returned so many different videos it would take me half the day to watch them
Watch Wisniewski fall on his ass and then whine to the ref for a penalty at 2:03
Missed high stick call on Francois
"Datsyuk has a few incredible moves" ; that's like saying : "Holmstrom is in front of the net"
To the guy below me, so true
Wish they woulda kept Hossa and dumped Franzen. As soon as he got that big contract he went from "The Mule" to "The Goat".
You're a god among insects!!!
This is beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
proper planning!
The most surprising thing about this video is that Windsor has a Caesars.
What a team that was.
