  1. It would have been interesting to see how "tough" those Shero Flyers' teams would have been in the old 70s WHA. Those teams were LOADED with fighters.

Yeah, they'd be 75-9 (Winnipeg would beat them) but still …..

  2. Every time I hear about the supposed “philly flu” where they claim teams came into philly scared of their toughness I laugh out loud.
Here you have the leafs matching muscle for muscle and coming out ahead in the fights.
Schultz the head of these clowns

  3. I am NOT a Flyers fan (not at all) but i absolutely love their history and what they brought to the table as a team and sport. You can hate the, and call em goons, etc but i LOVE that they embraced the bad guy image All rivalries (all sports) need good guys and bad guys – white hats and black hats and the Flyers enjoyed wearing the black hat.. Love em/hate em EVERYONE knew when the big bad Flyers came into town and played your team in your building, the anticipation and electricty in the building and fans was fantastic…. NOTHING of modern hockey can touch it, nothing close to those old Flyer teams…

Look how much things have changed in 40+ years, the PC police and whinebabies/cry bullies have sadly taken over!

  4. Leafs always played the Flyers tough…they were never intimidated…God Hart and his cohort were the most biased homers in the game of hockey.

  5. Кларк Супер! В принципе, как всегда! Капитан всегда капитан! Кларк, Барбер, Лич!!!Филадельфия forever!!!!!!!!!

  6. If I am not mistaken, Schultz still holds the record for most PIM in one playoff game, a record which he set in this game.

  7. I, like countless fans, miss the way hockey was played. It seems that it was about the turn of the century that the game really began to change. In fact, every pro sport has changed, and not for the better. This is especially true in the NFL, MLB, and the NBA with all of their damned protests and asinine antics after they've scored a touchdown, hit a homerun or dunked a basketball.

I do have a pet peeve, though: The constant abbreviating of team nicknames. The Toronto Maple Leafs are at or near the top of the list. Is "Maple" that hard to pronounce or are people that lazy?

  8. What cracks me up… is Kelly waving at Williams as if Williams didn't want to fight…bahahahhahahahaa!!! hilarious… Williams had and new he beat the crap out of the Hound and then Shultz crying and holding his face from a highstick… what a pussssss.

  9. "Tiger" was one of first metrosexual players to wear a helmet so he couldn't get punched in the head.
Never had guts to remove it when fighting a guy with no helmet.

  10. Lol, "tiger" pissed his pants when Schultz got his helmet off, lol.
    "Tiger"?? Haha

  11. tigger wiliiams is and was proof …. that you could make the NHL with ZEERO talent
what a piece of shit he was / is

  12. It's really important for the boys to have that nice white ice in front of the net there lol

  13. i do find it ironic how when fans in other cities would literally get involved with the flyers and how NO ONE seems to make a big deal out of it. like its ok if they do. god forbid someone actually called those fans out for being the pieces of crap they are. hypocrites everywhere. 6:42 damn talk about taking one for the team

  14. Wow, there is so much of a difference between the Toronto fans back then and now. They were a lot more vocal and rowdy back then! lol. Nowadays everyone is pointing their phones at one another like a bunch of bots. It's also hard to believe that this is the playoffs too!

  15. Hilarious. Salming gets a stick in the face from Clarke…. Flyers announcer, "this all started when Bobby Clarke got hit in the face with a stick…" So ridiculously biased.

  16. Clarke was gutless. He let everybody else fight his battles. Sittler always stood up for himself. And Sittler was a far better hockey player than Clarke.

  17. dave schultz the biggest punk ever, he still sh*ts his pants any time the name of Clark Gillies is brought up

  18. Back in the day when men played hockey. Every player could take care of themselves. They could all fight.

  19. Best years where late 90s early 2000s I think. There was speed and skill, but also still that roughness and grit of the old game

  20. Today's Leafs should be watching this footage , maybe it'll give them a pulse
