Blake Wheeler is always going to have a place in my heart, in his prime with us great player leader in most categories in jets history, our captain for a long time and even in his last year he played a good enough role, but it was time to let him go he made too much money and we didn't use him correctly playing him in the top 6 at times. All in all thank you to Blake wheeler, legendary captain legendary to the franchise.
I’m happy they bought him out. Change of culture will do us good. He was a beast for us when he was at his best and gave a hundred percent. Wish him all the best.

I’m glad we bought him out. We need to be a different team without our stars (Mark Scheifele,Connor Hellebuyck,and Blake Wheeler). I’m going to miss Our Former Captain Blake Wheeler im glad he has amazing career with us 10 years. Hope he doing good job in Other NHL Team. Tomorrow is A Big Day For Us Free Agency Frenzy. Hope we has a Good Signing somebody. GO JETS GO
I must admit to being conflicted. I'm glad to get a new look to the JETS, but Wheels gave more than any other player to this team. 8.5 for one more year is steep. But he committed to us. I hope he wins a cup wherever he plays next. GO JETS GO!
Nothing but respect for Wheels. Hes done so much for this team & for Winnipeg. Hes a franchise leader in so many areas but he always kept it classy. His contract was just too inflated. I look forward to cheering for hin wherever he goes
So bitter sweet but I'm also happy. Probably the best for the team. He's old and just needs to retire. But mad respect. Also told yall this was happening. Said he was moving his stuff home to mini. But isn't wheeler and sheif tied for longest tenyier.
