I view this as Tampa giving a lesson in what it means to win in the playoffs. Stamkos especially. Going off on Matthew’s, finally drawing a reaction and forcing him to fight back felt like a true turning point. Matthew’s first fighting major, paired with the Leafs first series win in 19 years does not feel coincidental.
The old guard passing off that killer instinct to the new.

Tampa was hurt and depleted roster, this was a lesson, the Leafs clearly didn't learn, Florida treated them like chily

Nice to see Marner backing up his teamates,well watching them tangle.Good thing Nylander wasn't out there,he would have threw a few boys around,rough tough customer he is.Look at Schen,standing up to the entire Tampa Team.This guy was drafted by the Leafs,but of course,they didn't have the sense to keep a strong bodied D Man like he is.
