This team feels like the early to mid 90's team hopefully Kenny is a little better than Neil O'Donnell and we can win a Super Bowl soon
I will deem this season a major success if the team can win a playoff game and be playing on Divisional Weekend. I think with another non playoff season Tomlin SHOULD be on the hot 🔥 seat 🪑
I dont think I'll ever be one to say Tomlin needs to be on the hot seat. The man is a GREAT coach. The expectation most assuredly is to get a playoff win. I truly see them winning the division, barring any significant injuries. Its my expectation. (This is all from me, , I didn't mention media…😂)
Tomlin always has nice words. All coaches expect all their players to improve. That is their job function. I don't expect a Super Bowl but I expect one Playoff win.
I have realistic expectations. This is an organization that has not won a playoff game since 2016. Forget SB’s, we need to start winning playoff games. The excuses need to stop.
I think there's a possibility that we have a capable ILB on the roster already that hasn't been slotted for that position to public ears but might be in the plans.
Belicheck has 6 suoerbowls and played in 9

DK I don't know how you missed this but literally every time a player of any notoriety what so ever is possibly up for a trade every other fan in Steelers nation and certain shows immediately start in!🤣 Oh the Steelers should trade for that player!! And it's 3 times worse if they went to a certain school and everybody has their Pitt glasses on. It literally just happened the other day with that Jets receiver. While true the actual trade itself may be rare, I assure you that at least the fan base talk about Steelers trades constantly! Love my daily shot! Go Steelers!🖤💛🖤

Agree, a reasonable expectation for this Steelers team, in a competitive AFC North, is to make the playoffs with at least 10 wins. Winning a playoff game will depend on many unknown factors (health and opponent), winning a playoff game is a reasonable goal.
I’m excited for this year! May the team stay relatively healthy.
It's all good to have realistic expectations ,but a true metal of a championship team is how it responds to adversity ,injuries 4th quarter grit let's see how this group grows and meshes together before taking playoffs and higher expectations

My reasonable expectations for the Steelers collective is making it to the 2nd level of playoff teams, but at that point, become a casualty to the rookie-ness of the need to start some rookies all year. But betting? No way, Jose.

"Reasonable expectation" is also reasonably expecting the team to make the playoffs and be very competitive.

Vegas odds has the Steelers doing that toilet bowl roll down towards the bottom of the division, because of Kenny Pickett.
Vegas and fans of our division rivals don’t believe at all that he will be better and lead this team this season.
I cannot wait for KP to prove them and the whole league wrong.
My reasonable expectation is for Kenny to take a significant jump. As well as Najee with the improved O Line. And the defense should look like a top 7 defense in the NFL. Andddd we SHOULD make the playoffs. All of this seems very reasonable with the talented roster. Thanks DK, love the show.

Re ILB: At this point I’m willing to see what Robinson does in camp / preseason (and Alarm bells if he doesn’t have a big year 2 jump).
I hate when people jump on the Steelers band wagon! Meaning the national media. In my weird way of thinking I always feel as though they do better when they are up against the world and nobody picks them.
Reasonable expectations is for Matt Canada to become a better play caller! Thats whats going to make the sesson. The rest of the conversation is nonsense! With this being the last year of his contract, he better have his stuff together. 7-2 was because of inferior competition! How many of those teams that we beat had a .500 or better ending season?

Great show DK. With the Khan-man at the helm, your point seems realistic of a very creative and aggressive trade to get a legit elite ILB which could include Mason and/or a draft pick. An elite ILB in my opinion could be the the final piece that would make us sincerely realistic competitors for the big dance. Yeah I said it, but really, with an elite defense to keep offenses shutdown, and our offense being at minimum where we left off, it is not outside the realm of possibility. Just because we are in a passing league, it does not mean we can’t dominate with a smash mouth run game that keeps defenses honest (and broken through attrition) where Kenny is just doing enough passing to complete the picture. I am for sure excited to see what Khan pulls out of his bag of tricks.
Yea I think Cincinnati will win division . They are a better REGULAR SEASON team . But come playoff time , they don’t want to play the Steelers .

If they don't win a playoff game this year, that will make 7 years in a row. That will be a new, ugly record since the 1967 SB era started. You can do the math on how long that is, then ask yourself if extending Tomlin makes sense?
