Patrick Kane better than either Bobby Hull or Stan Mikita? No way. The cups are team accomplishments. But individually, Hull and Mikita are the two best Blackhawks. I saw both in their prime. Both were more dynamic. Kane more on the level of a Denis Savard, IMHO.

How is Seattle so good in only a year and half? Hawks rebuild could be quicker than thought, particularly with lots of cap space.

I don’t understand the melancholy response. Kaner’s number will still be retired, his Blackhawk career will still be celebrated, and he’ll always be a Blackhawk…and the Blackhawks get a potential 1st for him instead of him just walking away so everyone can “feel good”. He gets to compete for another cup. This a day to celebrate! Let him leave on a high note. We won’t have to watch him potentially go late stage Willie Mays.

I thought I had prepared myself mentally for this. I knew it was going to happen since the beginning of the season. But this still hurts REALLY bad…why is that?
