  1. How awesome is this. Both Makar and Hughes get a game 7. Let’s hope they keep switching the lead all the way into the western final

  2. Perfect screen by Theodore. Looked like Lehner was ready to kill him

  3. What a player this kid is! Hope the fans in Vancouver appreciate this American which has not always been easy for the fans in Vancouver to do

  4. I'm not a Canucks fan, but can we just give Hughes the Calder already?

  5. The Canucks team is basically too young and stupid to realize they are in over their heads…
    I love it!

  6. Wow… Makar, Hughes. What a race that's gonna be. They're going to be compared to each other for years to come.

  7. nucks were so impressive , and Demko , what a performance , keep him in for the rest of playoffs and we take the cup , no offense to markie but Demko is stellar , if they play like this in game 7 , its in the bag , bravo canucks !!!

  8. we all knew quinn hughes would be fantastic when he was drafted but honestly did anyone expect this level of play ??

  9. This goal also gave Hughes the outright record for most points in a playoff year by a Canucks dman. His 16 points so far beats out the 15 set by Jeff Brown in 1994.

  10. As Hughes shot gets better he will become unstoppable, his shot will only further his ability to make plays by giving him more space. MVP

  11. It was Sheadore blocking Lehner not Petey. That's why Lehner was looking at Sheadore after the puck went in with a "WTF DUDE" look.

  12. Only those who watched this game will know how instrumental Pettersson was without being on the scoreboard.

  13. I can’t recall any pro D-man that have sniped a goal like this from the opposite hand to the far post in a critical game like this. Insane!

  14. Think about how hard it is to even get a chance at this record! You can't just be an offensively gifted rookie defenseman.

Your team also has to make the playoffs in your rookie year and go far enough for you to get all those points.

This isn't like a regular season scoring record where every team gets 82 games (except during pandemics.)

The Nucks didn't make the playoffs last year so whatever rookie records Pettersson could've set will never be available.

  15. I was thinking about how amazing it is that we have great new players in the center, winger and defense position (Pettersson, Boeser, Hughes). I didn't even think about the goalie.

  16. Yeah, Peterson and Hughes are becoming superstars. It will be interesting to see if they can take down a cup contender
