I can’t recall any pro D-man that have sniped a goal like this from the opposite hand to the far post in a critical game like this. Insane!
Think about how hard it is to even get a chance at this record! You can't just be an offensively gifted rookie defenseman.
Your team also has to make the playoffs in your rookie year and go far enough for you to get all those points.
This isn't like a regular season scoring record where every team gets 82 games (except during pandemics.)
The Nucks didn't make the playoffs last year so whatever rookie records Pettersson could've set will never be available.
