Both the Florida Panthers and the Calgary Flames had to go through their fair share of adversity as both Jonathan Huberdeau, Mackenzie Weegar and Matthew Tkachuk were gettin acclimated to new teams. The Flames though with missing the playoffs made changes to their coaching staff and front office after failing to qualify. At the time of the trade, the Flames went from no window(with Johnny Goodreau leaving as well) to a small window in their attempt to bring Huberdeau, Weegar and Nazem Kadri to the mix, now with a whole bunch of players wanting out, we discuss whether there is one now. The two also discuss what the expectations are heading into the 2023-24 season as the Panthers are hoping to build off a Stanley Cup run and the Flames are looking to qualify for the postseason to avoid a rebuild and make it a place for players to want to come.
