I'd love to see the Leafs acquire him, just to watch them fall apart and miss the playoffs for having acquired ZERO defensive-minded players this offseason. I doubt Treliving is this dumb, right?

this only works 1 way for toronto.. and it wont happen. but…. tavares has to waive his NMC and get traded along with a propsect… maybe ty voit or niemela… to sanjose for karlsson.. san jose has to retain at least 4 million, in exchange,, instead of sanjose having a 10+ contract for 4 more years… they will only have 1 for 2 more years along with the karlsson retention . since they are rebuilding,,, they can afford to pay tavares + karllsson for 2 years at 15 mil… this is the only way!!
