Pageau/Cizikas seem like good fits for Bruins. Both play a fully rounded game, neither will be offense powerhouses but do a little of everything. Especially Pageau, he can provide 15 goals/40+ points and PK/PP.

Hope sens don’t go anywhere near karlsson. They say Ottawa has one of the tightest knit rooms in the league, and I don’t know how much karlsson has to do with it or not but when they had to blow it up with him the room was a complete dumpster fire.
Remember Elias Lindholm on the Flames, is the brother of Hamphus Lindholm, who is on the Bruins. That would be a pretty cool duo

Heading into August here in a week(ish) the dominos will dtart falling again pretty soon as teams look to solidify rosters and tidy up their salary cap issues.
Re: DeAngelo…..Carolina is a good spot for him and his signing can FINALLY vlose the door on EK talk. Karlsson would NOT have been a good fit ther plus Canes only have about $845 k of projected cap space. EK won't be coming to Carolina.

Canes signing Tony D seems to take them out of the EK 65 sweepstakes. If Seattle willing to part with Shane Wright as part of a package, Sharks would go for it depending on other pieces. (maybe Wennberg and Schultz). Still think Nylander is headed to Carolina for a package that includes Pesce. Bruins better figure something out. Zacha as their #1C is not a good scenario. With 75% of the league tight to the cap, trades are now incredibly complicated.
Bruins already have too many expensive lefts. Hanifin make zero sense unless Calgary was going to take back both Gryz and Forbort. And Defense isn't really what Boston needs. They need a 1-2 center for certain. And preferably one who can win draws because if Zacha is going to be your number 2 he's awful at it. So you need a 1 who's just banging good.

petry won't go to SJ, otherwise this deal would probably be done already.
so the deal would have to be something like:
to pit – karlsson
to det – petry
to sj – granlund, chiarot, pickering, pit 2024 1st
maybe the sharks can pay the difference between the salary they're bringing in and the salary they're trading out. the wings are paying a bit more, but petry is an upgrade on chiarot, and he wants to play close to home, which is why SJ is not an option for him. of course, chiarot could nix this deal too. but this is the sort of template that would make such a deal work.
b's don't have enough to get lindholm AND hanifin. maybe send them back to carolina, for pesce, kotkaniemi, and suzuki/drury/1st.
