No other position in all of hockey (and possibly all of sports) has gone through more changes than the goaltender! The hockey goaltending has had a very interesting evolution and history behind it. There are a few goaltending styles. The standup style was mastered by goalies like Jacques Plante and Johnny Bower. The butterfly was mastered by goalies like Patrick Roy and Glenn Hall. The scramble style was used by Dominik Hasek and the hybrid style has been mastered by goalies like Henrik Lundqvist, Carey Price and Pekka Rinne! Hope you enjoyed.
