The isles are not trading barzal
The problem is that real life Ottawa doesn't have any leverage. Debrincat has said he wants to play in Detroit.
That means for 30 of the teams, the brink it is a one-year rental. So his value is very very low. The teams can just wait until next summer and sign him in free agency.
I believe yzerman is using time as a leveraged against Dorion, who overplayed played his hand at the draft with his high demand.
Debrincat isn't close to worth any of these trades you made for him.
Sens dont have much cap space left. Prob around 5mill after signing pinto.
