That would be a massive suspension and probably an assault charge

  2. mildlysceptical22

Match penalty with intent to injure. Suspension and fine. That’s if the referees saw it..

  3. rullarzutt

Crazy that they let a bum do that to the greatest player in the league who already had a massive injury history…

  4. globalwolf

Commentator at the end. “He’s not trying to hurt Mario here”. Excuse me?

  5. AwakenArts

One game suspension if it was petrangelo

  6. comacove

“He’s not trying to hurt Mario…” lawlz

Imagine if he connected on one of those. Literally swinging a lightsabre, Kessel style, but worse.

  7. AdComplex4430

Wouldn’t that be considered a criminal offense?

  8. luzer_kidd

Looks like Matthew Tkachuk in this year’s playoffs.

  9. Looney_forner

A 250k fine to the New York Rangers

  10. jagermain177

Gotta throw some Star Wars music over that

He was also suspended for 2 games. He’d get more today.

Pilon was a menace, he also injured Lindros. Had no place in the league.

Wasn’t it made a rule to not use sticks as weapons back when players didn’t play with helmets? Wtf is going on here?

dont get me wrong, I like Jagr. But watching him rush to Mario’s defense and just bounce off of Pilon is kinda funny. And I saw jagr up close, in street clothes back then. He was thick with muscle from his neck to his ankles.

    $14.59 fine, the maximum allowable

  15. AdaptiveCenterpiece

Wild to think that happened to a star like Mario. Would never happen in todays game. One swing like that at McDavid and even the announcers would be running down there to get a piece of that other guy.

They had just watched the Highlander back then. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
