It is confirmed that Mikheyev has successfully undergone surgery to the laceration on the **RIGHT** wrist. There was damage to an artery and tendon which has pushed the minimum recovery timeline to 3 months.

  1. Arghhh. Such a freak injury. Was just skating by. Was having a great rookie season. Hopefully no long term damage.

  2. After all the inane rules changes in the NHL (fighting, boarding, hitting from behind etc), when are they going to address this skate issue?
    If they can call a "high-sticking" penalty for unintentional stick contact, surely they can do the same for skates?
