I had a dream Levi had 10 shutouts this year đ
UPL canât even stop a shootout or breakaway, I would trade for Connor Hellebuyck and just use him for the last year of his contract, if Levi plays bad then sign Hellebuyck.
UPL got tagged hard in four games last year (two against Boston). I have a feeling he will be a bit better with six NHL-calibre dmen. Whoever thought Bryson was capable of being the No. 6 guy was dead wrong. My wild and crazy prediction is that Levi will play 50 games, win than 35 of them and will be in the Calder conversation (2nd or 3rd) similar to Power. It is rare but not unprecedented.
Excellent video, i think Adams is confident going with UPL & Levi in net this season ( comrie waived to Rochester) since he drastically improved the D with the additions of Clifton and Johnson.
Me personally im hoping Adams packages UPL or Comrie , Jokiharju and Olofsson or a prospect not named Savoie or Benson and trades them to Anahiem for John Gibson or to Philadelphia for Carter Hart. Im not confident going with the kids in net this season because UPL has been too inconsistent over his short career.

Bro, it is not fair to blame UPL or Comrie to be inconsistent. Although I screamed at the TV a few times we need to realize that UPL is still very young and the Sabres defense leaves room for improvement. I like Adams but I think he made a HUGE mistake NOT drafting superstud goalie Jesper Wallstedt instead of mediocre forward Isak Rosén. I hope that UPL can step up now when given the chance and that Levi will be a solid 1A/1B combo.
As for all the veteran goalies out there with tons of experience that fans say Kevyn Adams should trade for: I'm 95% sure Adams called for all of them and the asking price was ridiculously high.
Team defense makes up quite abit IMHO and that is what the Sabres need for SURE. If they can shore up and BUY IN to that basic concept, then the goalie situation may not be as bad as many think. In the end, someone has to WANT THE NET and EARN their time. Competition and actual performance will give us our answer going forward, especially that we don't have a TRUE standout #1 at this point. Am I worried about the goalie issues? Not really, more curious if this team can play team defense and a quick transition game!!! That will be most imprtant IMHO. Great subject and show.
