Good Habs Daily News Coach. Agree with your 5 best contracts but would add one more.. RHP and Monahan contracts are excellent and so is Matheson if he stays healthy. I would add Johnathan Kovacevic's salary at $775,000 as great. For me, Johnathan was a terrific stabilizing force last year no matter who he played with. Outstanding with no shiny glitter.
Hi Coach, in regards to your rumour trade between Leafs and Montreal I have a question. Why buy him out? Love the idea of another first round pick. Q.- If Murray is healthy why would you not play him, 29 yrs old, 6'5", rather than buy him out?
Matheson is easily #1. For another year your proposal might have merit, but next year is not expected to be a deep draft , so, no go. Besides , why would we wan't to help Toronto🤬?

4 1st round picks is fantastic
I don't think Matt Murray is worth a first-round draft pick. The only time he has had a respectable GAA is when he had a strong team in front of him. He was a 3rd round pick in 2012, and I doubt he has many playing years left in him.

Great video coach and agree with top signings. With regard to trade rumour, why would Leafs do that? They are $12 mill+ over cap and this only gets rid of $4.5 mill +. Also if Leafs give away their 1st in 2024 (which won't be a high pick) then they have 1 pick only left in the next 3 years in rounds 1 and 2. At some point they have to stock their own shelves.

Montreal has had 58 draft picks in the last 6
Years,,,,,, even though a 1st rd pick should never be looked away from, however the Habs by the end of next year should be in a position to use some of their draft capital!!!

Matt Murray? Yikes! As long as it’s not to play him. Not even in the AHL. We need the young goaltenders to play. He’s done. Not good anymore and injury prone. Only if it leads to great draft picks
