  1. I still hate him for what he did to us in game 7 (nucks fan). But I guess that is a compliment to him. I love that he helped win the gold medal for Canada twice though. He was always a class act. Great career.

  2. As a bruins fan, I could not have asked for a better captain, player, and most of all, leader. I cried real tears when he retired and the reason was because of how much me and the whole fan base loved him.

  3. Thank you for all you have done for the Bruins. We will miss you Patrice.Good luck in what you do going forward.

  4. Guaranteed first ballot hall of famer. The best two-way centerman to play the game. One cup, six Selke trophies, and guarantee we’ll see 37 in the rafters at TD

  5. In my opinion he’s the best face off center I’ve ever seen. On top of that he is the best defensive forward of all time for me. And then you have his leadership and clutch factor. The guy knows when to show up at the big moments. Hall of famer for sure. And I hate the bruins.

  6. Kind of sad for the Bruins but happy for Patrice at the same time.
There’s going to be a huge hole on this team but the man has given enough to the game, the Bruins & the City !
Broken Ribs, Punctured Lung, Herniated Discs ! There’s plenty of tough hockey players out there but Patrice took it to another level.
Wish him good health & happiness in whatever he does & Thanks for 20 years of Great Hockey !

  7. Im a Penguins fan, but a bigger hockey fan and I am saddened to see Bergeron retire, but what a great person for the game. The best two way forward I have seen since I've been watching hockey, and I remember watching him as a rookie during the 03-04 season. Enjoy retirement Bergeron, you earned it. Congrats on a great career.

  8. As a life-long Leafs fan, it is never easy to say anything good about a Bruin, but I have nothing but appreciation and respect for what Patrice Bergeron has accomplished in his career. One of the best two-way centers to ever play the game.

  9. Respect from a Penguins fan. Patrice Bergeron was a legend for the Bruins and is a future hall of famer.

  10. As a Bruins fan, all the traded players, that were a part of an outstanding season of plays, is soo defeating. What a wonder team they were! And now, Patrice going is just gut wrenching.
Not sure wth Sweeney is thinking, but he sure messed up big time letting Hall, Foligno, Bertuzzi, Hathaway go. And now Jake Debrusk. ?????
Crazy!!!! That was a dream team in the making. The cup should've and would've been there's but big wig Bettmam wanted the Knights and Panthers to build up their franchises. Cha ching.

  11. Bruins Fan Here and although this is a hard day for all of us-I know we all couldn't be more grateful for his time here as a Bruins player and thank him enough for all that he did in his NHL career-he will forever have a special part in the Boston Bruins organizations!!

As for other teams and fans reaching out on behalf of the bruins fan base and team we want to thank you for the recognization of Bergy and how much he really did impact the hockey community-seeing how much everyone loved him, really goes to show how he is well respected!!
