Watching Zadina play was so frustrating. Man I hope he can grind out something in SJ.
Lmao I wouldn’t ever lose out on 4 million dollars that’s insane
So strange to me a team named K-Wings are part of the Canucks organization because when I think Canucks hockey I think Kalamazoo Michigan.
Interesting Vancouver/Abby just signed for a year; that mean another ECHL will be announced soon? odd that they picked Kalamazoo. Would be nice if Anchorage had an ECHL team again, that be good for the Canucks.
As a Wings Fan I want Zadina to succeed. He never got a fair shake with Blashill, then was injured when he finally got a new coach. He is good with the puck. Snakebitten has to be one of the highest percentage of post hits/shot.
Nice touch at the end adding that you don't have rent-a-plane money. YouTubin ain't easy.
I tried to find where the AHL Hall of Fame is. Anyone know? I didn’t know they had a hall of fame lol
Focht was playing in Kalamazoo for parts of the last couple of seasons when they didn't have an agreement, so this feels more like making things official than a huge change.
Even with Zadina gone Veleno will have a tough time cracking the line up on a constant basis.
Put your jerseys in line and you might make it to Vegas !…
Dam I was hoping Carolina would have taken a chance on .
Aye I live in Kzoo. I guess next time i go to a Kwings game im technically cheering for your canucks 😂🎉
Best of luck to Zadina with the sharks, may he fill the other teams nets with pucks.
I was gonna ask about rent a plane money 😂
sharks fan here, very excited about Zedina. The sharks need more quality forwards in every spot minus couture, hertl and barabonov. now theyve added duclair, zedina, and have eklund and bordeleau coming up. exciting time to be a sharks fan. so many years with the same results and faces followed by the same faces plus misery. now weve got a few of the old guard in logan and tomas but so many new and exciting faces and prospects. different feel to all the guys theyve brought on and drafted too compared to previous sharks years under DW. (thankful for all the success DW had with SJ, love my Sharks!)
Soooooo…. Zadina…. well……… ffffffffffffffffffff
If Zadina can find his game, that's a huge W for the Sharks.
4:30 pretty large east coast in ECHL
Zadina still needs to earn a spot on the sharks roster. Would sure be ironic…
not sure the validity of it, but i read earlier that this is tim tebows third echl team that hes a part of.
Would be great to see Zadina put up 20 goals this year with the Sharks.
Sure, Lake Tahoe is beautiful, but it is going to be real hard to afford lake tahoe rents on an ECHL contract. Oh, if Zadina has a pulse, pretty certain he will crack the Shark's top six.
In case anyone else wonders, Tim Tebow never played professional hockey but apparently played some american football, including for Denver Broncos, a team any hard core South Park fan would recognize.
Playing IN Lake Tahoe, not on Lake Tahoe.
Don't make the mistake Pierre-Édouard Bellemare made (that ended up on Weird NHL).
Kalamazoo was Columbus’ ECHL affiliate, any news about who they might partner with?
Can’t wait for the channel to really pop off so Shannon can rent a PJ just for his jerseys when goes on vacation
The ECHL players may have a hard time finding living accommodations that they can afford in Tahoe.
Tim Tebow was a QB for Denver Broncos in 2010
While having an ECHL team in South Lake Tahoe seems cool, the last thing that area of the world needs is more visitors. It would have been better if they were in Reno.
This is like the 3rd different time Kzoo and Vancouver have announced a partnership. Familiarity helps
Was hoping the Caps would pick up Zadina.
Are Vancouver sharing Kalamazoo with the current NHL team or is that team now without an ECHL affiliate? Vancouver were 1 of the 4 teams without an ECHL affiliate
What's the difference between a buyout and contract termination? Could Van have done that with OEL?
Wish the Capitals took a chance on Zadina
The Canucks are tied to the K-Wings now? That's awesome, they're my semi-local team
Has THG done a video explaining the difference between a buy-out and a contract termination?
Good luck to Zadina. Hit the net the chance of scoring increases.
Technically this is Tebow’s second part ownership. He was a part owner of the Icemen too. I am unsure if the league required him to sell that before taking on the Lake Tahoe ownership. However, I doubt they require that because Zawyer Sports (who was hired to operate the team in Lake Tahoe) own 2 teams themselves (the Icemen and Ghost Pirates).
They run the hockey ops of only the icemen though; Henderson Silver Knights GM Tim Speltz runs the Hockey ops for Savannah Ghost Pirates.
Either way this is exciting because Zawyer doesn’t get into ECHL teams lightly. They have a proven track record of ECHL success, so being on board is huge for the team.
As a Sharks fan, I'm happy about both Zadina and a Tahoe ECHL team.
I think Zadina does enough of the little things right that all he needs is a consistent scoring shot. He wasn't getting the openings and chances in Detroit thanks to other guys scoring on their chances. Better for him in his perspective and the Wings.
Best to him
I have a conspiracy as to why the Vancouver Canucks are signing a one year deal with the Kalamazoo Wings. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were one of the teams that tries to affiliate themselves with the upcoming Lake Tahoe ECHL team. I’m sure that the Vegas Golden Knights and Seattle Kraken will also try to affiliate themselves with this team.
