I find right now, the ones who dis the Sabres the most are Ottawa or Detriot fans. Both feel their teams made HUGE offseason moves and should make the jump.. except like last year.. the sabres were the one that was 1 pt out.. and they were much lower near MTL.. They are assuming you win anything in the offseason… I see it all the time with other leagues too..most often with teams like ours that have been building through the draft.. and they assume that since we didn’t make any UFA splashes that we didn’t get better.. they forget the youth coming up and bunches and the youth on the team just naturally being better too…I’m almost too afraid to figure out where buffalo will finish.. Boston is just too volatile, the Leafs are on the precipice of CAP HELL.. and Tampa is on the downswing due to cap issues.. Florida should have been better.. and they are the only team above us that I could put money they will stay there.. the rest… thin ice.. yes, boston just had a dream year.. and how many career years were had.. part skill… part fluke.. and now they’ve had one retire.. we signed a pretty damn fine d-man away and they are having cap issues too.. they could fall this year like everyone expected last year.
Yea, many said this to florida. But when they eliminate boston, everybody jumped to wagon. Unless sabres will be sweeped in 1st round, they will earn some respect.

Most important is that the NHL CLUBS are on notice. League wide, we are not under the radar. There is no team in NHL that thinks Sabres are in town easy night off.
Most channels I follow or listen to. They all want the Sabres to turn it around. Most experts have us as fighting for top 3 spot in the division.

Yzerman drafted many of the name players on Tampa Bay who went on to win multiple cups. Plus, he won 3 cups as a player himself. It's no wonder all the talking heads think he's hockey's version of football's Belichick or Shula. They all think he's building something unbeatable in Detroit. Waynesy, Our fans have to get some thicker skin like me and you…old dogs. How many years have we been through the disrespect? I still hear about Scott Norwood’s missed field goal and Hayek not stopping Hull in the crease. It’s Just Noise!!!

Love the content bro, I became a Sabres fan in 99 after being a Oilers fan up to that point. The thing with disrespect from my view is that the better a team gets and moves up in the league, then more and more of the haters will come out because they are truly just jealous that they are now being seen in the rear view mirror. Adams had changed the culture of the dressing room and we now have the playoffs in sight compared to the teams that are now below our boys and we are in their spot from years past.
Glad you mentioned Sammuelsson Wayne as the morons on TSN afternoon Overdrive show didnt know who he was either when he signed his extension last fall! I find most leaf fans respect the Sabres ( maybe because we usually always beat them lol ) but not Sens fans and Dead thing fans aka Red Wing fans!
When i went to the Buffalo /Leafs game at the Masuoluem aka Air Canada centre in March quite a few Leafs fans came up to me ( i was wearing a Cozens jersey ) and said the Sabres will be a serious contender in a few years.
The Sabres are a bubble team.
With several guys who will regress back to the mean after big years (Tage maybe 35+) and team that stunk up the building on defense in most categories that count ,we are too optimistic.
We reached the Top of The Bottom last year. That's all.
That's nice but not noteworthy league wide. Lots of teams do this and disappear. Let's calm down , if we make the playoffs fine, but we're 50-50 at most.
