Laraque Has The Answers..

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at some interesting news that has surfaced over the past few days. Georges Laraque is actually spending some time with Michael Pezzetta, and he’s training him! I think this is going to have a positive impact on Pezzetta next season, so lets talk all about it in today’s video.

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. Pez dispenser is not going anywhere. Xhekaj needs backup and it's not like Habs have a lot of that. Besides the sandpaper, Pez can be a decent player as well. Maybe he's not playing every night (and he should), but he'll be there at least for depth.

  2. It seemed like he was wanting to get in scraps but didn't really have the confidence. Hopefully, with the right kinda training he will drop the gloves like an animal. To your point, Xhekaj shouldn't shoulder all the brunt.

  3. Heart and soul guys like Pezzetta are needed on the 4th line. A former healthy scratch in Laval has fought and clawed himself into the NHL.

  4. Pezz needs to stay for sure. In the lineup most nights. Put Ylonen on waiver if you can’t ship Hoffman out or don’t want to waive him to showcase him for a pick at deadline. Geez RHP can even start in Laval until we have injuries if they want.

  5. the atlantic div did indeed get much tougher, 1 grit sandpaper all over
but we have the xhekaj sherrif brothers. well be fine
    and pez will help!

  6. I love it and Arber should do the same ,because Hughes has his finger up his ass and isn't seeing the writing on the wall here, the division has now got way nastier and I would hate for Arber to end up like Komisarek did after Lucic clobbered him he never was the same , I'd sooner have a Deslauriers (for example) on the roster instead of those useless plugs Armia and Hoffman

  7. Somehow get rid of Armia. Love Pizza’s attitude. Work for a living. Take nothing for granted. Enlarge your toolbox and hone everything. Did I mention getting rid of Armia?

  8. With boys like nilan and George training the boys we may have Cole be the P n P fighter in the NHL!

  9. I remember cursing George Laraque, when he did not drop gloves against Lucic…
We were in Boston to see the Habs and Lucic had plowed Kovy in the boards.Komisarek fought him and got a shoulder injury. All game long lucic hit everything that moved and finally Laraque and him faced-off.
    No fight…
We were pissed off.The Habs lost 6-1.When we were walking out,a Bruins fan shouted at us:"guys, your club played like 'les petites filles'…".Total humiliation.
Years later,on his radio show,Laraque explained that his back was completely shot.He could not fight anymore.A shame that his career was cut short due to that injury.

  10. Got to love that pizza, I think he brings enough just with his energy, last season I saw him get rocked a bit to hard , it would be a shame to lose him just to fighting, remember George Peros ?

  11. Wont Stop us from closing our eyes every time he fights. He was close from getting killed at least 4 times last year! And Laraque is a big 0

  12. I love Pez man, his effort level is off the charts, AND he can fight! I know he's not the toughest guy in the league, but he will fight ANYONE, and stick up for his team mates, we can use the grit. I was hoping we'd go after Reaves, imagine Xhekaj and Reaves on your team!! I hope we get a goal scorer before the season starts, please!!! lol. Go Habs Go!!!

  13. Montreal needs another heavy weight! Pez is a smaller guy, he should be getting tips from Prust! St Louis is the perfect coach for Caulfield cause they're similar size. Lecavalier wouldn't be as good teaching Cole because they don't have the same tools. The Habs should try to pry Deslourier away from the flyers! I also wanna see Xhekaj's aggression and physical play rub off on Slafkovsky and Dach! Slav's size could be dangerous if he got meaner, and Dach showed last year that violence looks good on him!

  14. Pez knows his place and his role. He's not a heavy weight but he still goes. Those are the guys that give a team heart and courage. He's a keeper as the fishermen say.

  15. Great video junkie. Just a little more info for you on that Pezzetta had his first round of sessions last summer with George . That's why he actually looked 100 % better last season in fights. However this is just a continuation of lessons. And for me ,I think Evans will go long before Pezzetta. Jake unfortunately looked horrible last year and hasn't been right since the concussion against the jets in the playoffs. So I think Evans days are limited. But I agree Hoffman and Armia as well as Evans should be first to go. Great vid

  16. Never listen to trade/waiver rumors. Pezzetta just signed a budget friendly contract, the division has gotten tougher, anyone who thinks they're going to put Pezzetta on waivers is clueless.

  17. I see nothing bad about asking a former heavyweight tips on fighting. Anything new he can learn can help him next season. I don't think he's going anywhere. I was a fan of Pitlick but he wasn't amazing last season and I'm kind of done with Armia. I'd rather they be waived at this point over Pezzetta.
