@gir992 I really believe he is. Hodgy was a budding star.. but kassian also has tremendous upside. this deal made us better longterm and shortterm in terms of grit and skill
@mofisbroth i think you misunderstood my point. cody has the skills but Zack has the grit. zack also has skill maybe its not as good as cody's but i'm saying its the grit that may put him ahead of cody
kinda seems like everyone is forgetting we also got gragnani who is definitely better than sulzer..so kinda 2 good players for 1. hope kassian turns out good though because hodgson was just starting to get awesome! he is for sure going to make us pay for this trade from time to time.
i've got to say. as painful as it was to watch Cody Hodgson leave the Canucks… watching Kassian do what he does makes my heart warm and tingly. Vancouver <3 Kassian
hodgson or whatever was a ROOKIE and look what he did, was a bad trade for this useless kassian so much for"getting ready" for the playoffs he didnt even make a big hit..
Hodgson was actually in his second year pro but spent two season's in the minors. Hodgson will be a good player but he didn't want to be in Vancouver anymore. Why keep a player when he's becoming a distraction to the the club? The return on Hodgson was never going to be more then what the Canucks got.
How is it a useless hit after a couple of months. Both Kassian and Hodgson are still devoloping. 5 years down the road is when you can judge this trade

@4oureveryoung your telling me kassian has more skill short term than hodgson. i agree with eveything you said….except that.

@4oureveryoung zack has more skill than fat stubby hodgson
@4oureveryoung Hodgson sucks compared to zack, size and skill
@xHHSGx Hodgson is better, but in short term needs to win the cup, we need kass kass. Go Canucks!
Kassian youtube vids are going to explode in views now because of this trade, welcome to the franchise.

Sometimes skill has to be sacrificed to get grit and this is one of those times.
Skill wasnt completely sacrificed when we gave Cody up.. Kassian has it, Buffalo just couldn't get to it.. Van now has the chance too
we need to drop opponents we bone crunching hits,, something Cody cant do…. Zack, Lappierre, Higgins, Hansen, Edler,,, we'll see
@fortin248 wait until you see him fight
LOL I love that pro-Caps commentator Benanati. "Collision" my ass. Kassian clocked Ovechkin.
I knight thee Kickassian

kassian is so fucking useless its not even funny
Really? Maybe your expectations of a ROOKIE are to high. I see allot of potential in Kassian!

Looks like your point was moot, buddy guy.
I love Cody but still like 2 watxh Kassian he plays the right way
Like Hodgson who becomes passive wallflower unless he's got talent like Vanek to prop him up?
