Boston Bruins just got worse
They're not "trying to make a splash"
They have by far the youngest team in the league and Davidson and Richardson know they need some veteran leadership to show these guys the ropes.
Who better than ex first overall/MVP Hall, and proven leader and consummate pro Foligno?
There is also the salary floor, they need to be well above it if they want to trade guys at the deadline for draft choices.
You can't make a trade that puts you under the floor.
But you know all that, right?
This is all about building for the future, not making a splash today
