Moncton Wildcats selected 16 year old Caleb Desnoyers 1st overall at the 2023 QMJHL draft in Sherbrooke, Quebec. GM Richie Thibeau did not entertain any offers for the younger brother of Flyers prospect Eliot. who also played with the Wildcats. Caleb had a fine season with Saint-Hyacinthe Gaulois with 23 goals and 53 points in 42 games. Here is video from the floor of the draft and an interview with the gifted forward.
