I think the best change the Leafs can make for game two is to let Boston play in their place.
Mellow out everyone. Its game one. Quit being so negative, as far as i know losing game one doesn't take you out of a seven game series.
With all the money the Leafs spend on non-player salaries (where the salary cap doesn't come into play) are they spending enough on team psychologists / psychiatrists? They've always seemed mentally or emotionally fragile. In big games, at end of games, etc. they are not cool under pressure and don't seem to be able to rise to the occasion. Some teams can flip a switch and just get into a zone. This group of Leafs doesn't seem to be able to do that. I hope I'm wrong and we see a completely different, determined group of Leafs on Thursday night. Not holding my breath.
I can't understand why these fans (suckers) continue to pay ridiculous amounts of money to witness the ultimate in mediocrity?!

lol, people are way too emotionally involved and think it's easy to deal with the nerves and pressure going into game 1 in general, let alone as a Leaf player. Take it down a tone and support your team through the losses and wins. It's literally game 1 and is not a 4-0 sweep yet. Toronto has good players and good enough coaching to maybe get into the semi-finals.
AM can't wait till his contract runs out so he can go to Arizona and play with Cooley, maybe Bedard too.

Glad I didn’t watch it, but I wasn’t surprised. Leafs can play good during the regular season but always choke in the playoffs. I wouldn’t be surprised after this series if Auston Matthews either doesn’t re-sign of asks for a trade.

I heard a sports journalist say that Tampa Bay embarrassed the Leafs 7-2. Tampa didn't embarrass the Leafs, the Leafs handled that all by themselves. They're so good at it that they keep outdoing themselves.

Bunting wasn't even looking at Kurnak. Players always put their shoulders into each other going into the boards. It sucks when a player goes out but that's more on Tampa player leading with his head to a puck that he was a step behind to. It seems like the refs felt the game was done at 4-2 and were determined to keep one team on the penalty kill the rest of the game. Super boring and the reason why I don't watch regular season hockey.
Everytime I see springtime tv ads with Leafs players like Matthews or Marner, I know the Leafs are going to hot dog it again. Stop being rock stars and start being hockey players.

I see things haven,t changed, I stopped watching all sports, my old leafs ,I stopped watching 3years ago,first game was back in the fifties yes, I,m still hoping deep inside with a hardened heart.But the crimnals running this shit show,I,m talking vagas and betman ,the leafs or a good Canadian team will never win.McDavid included.
