While I would take Hughes over brad or svech i get why some wouldnt. Physical forward who can score are hard to come by. Keep in mind svech’s scoring would probably be higher if not for carolina’s systems. They play a great team game but it brings down individual numbers a bit for their high end forwards.
Quinn Hughes would go 2nd or 3rd, depending on Brady Tkachuk. There’s just bias rn cuz Canucks overall blue line is weak
Arguably 1st OA imo, talented defensemen such as Quinn are way more valuable than the better forwards. More ice-time = more responsibility.
Svechnikov is a great player but I just don’t see how you rank him above basically a point per game defenseman. I’d rank Hughes as of today 2nd overall. And before this last season I’d be hard pressed to not rank him 1st overall.

Hughes is better at his position than Brady is.
Only player that can be argued above him is Dahlin. Quinn is better than Brady and Svech shouldn’t even be compared, he’s so overrated

Hughes easily over Svech and Brady, even if they were equal talent wise, just by position alone. Wingers are the least valuable position. This is just plain stupid.

You can make an argument for dahlin over Hughes and *maybe* Brady but why the hell do people still think that Svech is more valuable than Hughes? A 60-70 point winger over a more productive defenceman and one of the best PP quarterbacks in the league?
Goes to show how little people watch the Canucks.
