I don’t quite understand what this is measuring.
Is it basically ranking players who scores their goals from the best positions?
Only players to make the top 10 on both of JFresh’s lists for 5v5 Shot Creation and 5v5 Playmaking:
McDavid, MacKinnon, Crosby, Hughes, Nylander
I think having Matthews, JT, and Nylander in the top 11 here and having Marner top the playmaker sheets we should probably chill on being obsessed with these guys failing in the playoffs. They will break through sooner or later. I have confidence that they will.
Either way though we have a ridiculous amount of skill on this team we should all be thankful for. Incredibly fun to watch and RARE to have this much skill in todays NHL. Yet all you hear about here is how much they all suck.

There’s a separate statistic for the top 5v5 playmakers which Marner comes top in, for those wondering where he is on this list- a pretty good spread for the team overall
