Wait, so they just use the same tires every race??? I thought the whole reason they even did pit stops was for wear and tear on the tires???

Used F1 tires are transported to the Pirelli logistics center in Didcot, England. They are crushed, sent to cement companies, and burned to function as fuel in boilers. The material produced in this process can also be used for road surfaces and other industrial applications.

In 2020, the tires from the Australian race, got scraped, because shipping them to the next location fitted to the wheels already is nowhere mentioned in any kind of contract. Transport is only ment for wheels and tires seperately, and instead of making something up, because saving the environment and saving ressources, you know…
The tires were not used, perfectly fine, and they did not manage to transport them to another location… While they transport all that other stuff around the world every week…

The tyres are "recycled" once flown back to the UK to be burned in a cement factory 🤔 eco…
This is complete BS. There's no way the tires are simply washed and reused.

A lot of them are sold to second tier racers. The same is true of drag racing slicks.
You left out the critical micro balancing. That is the last step before they are ready to go.

I can remember going to a NASCAR race and after the race, some pit crews would give away the used tires for free.
What does the company do with them upon return to the factory!? That's the most important part!

This is complete bullshit there is no way an f1 tyre would ever get reused after a race. F1 tyres have lots of grip but are also extremely undurable.
