  1. Eddie Grey is one of the coolest men to of walked the planet. Film star looks, still! what a player, a true gentleman. We love you Eddie, so privileged to of seen you play. (Leeds fan of 58 years) mot⚽️

  2. Kicked the ball about with Eddie in 1980 when I was 15 massive thrill to have the chance to do that with one of your all time heroes.

  3. Will never, never forget 1972. The 5 – 1 and 7 – 0 thrashings of scum and Southampton, earlier, and then this game. Iconic moment for me, after Sniffer's diving header, was Hunter leaping into the air throwing his arms up in sheer delight. Then Billy holding up the cup: we were ecstatic after the disappointments of '65 and '70. Then, of course, followed the heartbreak of that Monday night, 48 hours later at Molineux, missing out on the double by a fraction of an ant's balls (just as in '65). That kit of '72 remains one of my all time favourites.

  4. Very nostalgic Eddie. It’s sad to think about the players who are no longer with us. Eddie still has fire in his eyes. Such a charismatic man. It was a team full of skill, grit and character.

  5. What a Top Gentleman Eddie is ,a Leeds United legend the best winger in Leeds United's history I wish you where playing on Sunday Eddie we could do with your magic feet on the wing today 🤩😍a humble man , a honest man a Man who respects rival supporter's & opponents as Equals has time to talk to anyone,he always listens a true Leeds legend a football legend we All love you Eddie 🤍💙💛🇮🇨✊👊🦚 Total respect 👏👏👏👏 Marching on together, we all love Leeds, keep fighting ✊👊🤍💙💛🦚😍🤩

  6. I had the pleasure of watching this man play. My favourite football memory was watching Eddie, towards the end of his playing days, he'd lost his speed but picked up the ball just outside of our box and proceeded to walk/jog all the way up the wing. As each player came to challenge he just used is footwork to leave them behind, and finished with a nice cross in to their box. Magic! Thanks for making a young boy (as I was then) understand what people meant by the beautiful game.

  7. One of the best to wear a Leeds Unt shirt a true LEGEND they don't make them like him any more MOT.

  8. Eddie – What a total legend! You see the recollection, passion and joy in his eyes like it happened yesterday! Tinged with some sadness over the departed fellow legends. MOT forever!

  9. Most modern players,to their shame, would go down to claim a pen under the challenge made on Mick just before he crossed for Sniffer. Better game in better days

  10. Brilliant Leeds team 1972! Eddy Gray was true Legend, he was the "George Best" of Leeds United! Leeds United were the best team in Europe in the early 1970s!

  11. Always remember 1970 Cup final. He turned David Webb inside out. One of the most skilful players ever. A true legend!

  12. I see this man jog miles every other day around the Wetherby area, it’s why he’s so fit and still looking good! Legend .

  13. Great memories of a very happy day. It doesn't feel like 50 years ago to me. Hope we don't have to wait another 50 years before we win it again!

  14. I was fortunate to be there that day behind the goal were they got the winner my father always said Eddie was the best winger ever… exciting times never to be forgotten.

  15. Far better game back in those days. Players were allowed to drink, smoke and party and yet they were far better players who were loyal to their clubs and supporters.

  16. True gent well mannered great player as echoed … a legend 💙💛💙💛

  17. Good to see Eddie looking so well ….would like Eddie to have a statue at ER while he is alive would be fitting for a Real legand

  18. Eddie if you do read this … my Grandad was Bobby English… you’ll know. I was there in 72 and 73 you guys will always be my heroes

  19. I would personally want Raphinha to leave for atleast £100m and a £400k per week salary. Any sum lower than this is an absolute bargain. People outside of Leeds United , don't understand how big of a player he is and how massive his influence actually is. He is by far the best, biggest and most talented player to have ever played for Leeds and even in Yorkshire (think of how big and instrumental Diego was for Napoli's UEFA Cup and Serie A wins).

  20. Sorry Eddie i was a sunderland fan back then(i was 12).however i did like peter lorimer and my mam who was 32 then liked billy bremner.

  21. I had a little spate of sending pictures out of my Shoot annuals to players for their autograph in the late 70s and Eddie was the last one of em. Meant a lot to a kid back then. And here he is now aging like Clint Eastwood.

  22. That second goal against Burnley was simply majestic, if a Brazilian scored it they would be still talking about it
