Captains and alternates don’t really mean shit anymore. They’re usually the best players on the team.
It used to be about leadership. Kucherov getting an A last year kinda blew my mind. As much as I like the guy, I’ve never really seen or heard of any sort of leadership at all. The only interview I remember seeing with him was the #1 bullshit one.
