Connor’s idol was Gretzky, and it shows!
I could talk about mcdavid all day. I think he’s gonna retire as the goat. Best player I’ve ever watched in my lifetime. These are his highlights from just one season and most players would be lucky if it was their career highlights
Edit: I may be a bit baked and I am a hockey nut but I almost get emotional watching these clips. It’s like watching Picasso paint. If he wasn’t responsible for his teammates he could score almost every shift let alone every game just bc he wanted to.
Look up his 5v1 goal against the rangers. Will break ur brain
You gotta watch 2021-2022 highlights next!
Have to do Ovechkin highlights, hits + goals
Sadly, the Oilers seem to me to be a two-man team – McDavid and Draisaitl. Defences win championships.
British people just can't help but refer to the 'keeper' .I do it too!
"It almost looks like he's a better skater than everyone else". This is dead on. McDavid is very good if not great in most aspects of the game, but what separates him from the other very good players is his elite speed and his ability to stick handle at top speeds. Also he has an elite level Hockey IQ. This means he see's the game very clearly and always knows where the opponents are, where his team mates are, and where the puck is. You will very rarely ever see him look down at the puck. He's such a joy to watch, makes hockey look like ballet in some ways. Thanks for the video
I've paused the video at 13:16, and I figure that the number one goal will be his 1v4 miracle goal against the New York Rangers. One of those goals that makes it look like they need a league above the NHL, only for McDavid.
You guys should watch some pavel datsyuk highlights
Watch McDavid goal verse the New York Rangers.
As long as he doesn't blow his knees out or get bad concussion's like many other greats in the game he will have a long carrier. Jaromir Jagr is a great example. 51yrs old this year.. still playing.. He was drafted in 1988 and still playing in 2023. Blows my mind how he's still going.
Great reaction video buds. Don't forget to put up the maple leaf behind you !
His skating ability is a level above. He can change speed in an instant. Be watching for Connor Bedard, the 18 year old, who was just drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks. He will be playing in the 23/24 season.
Now show him Lane Hutson.
I don’t think these guys recognize they are watching a top 3-5 all time hockey player in the history of the game
I live in Edmonton and the Oilers are my favourite team, we are very fortunate to have Connor. He's the best Hockey player in the World and my favourite player. I think he will finish in the Top 5 in NHL history, I see him winning at least 3 Stanley Cups and he will definitely be inducted into the Hockey Hall Of Fame… Go Oil Go!!
FYI number 8 and 18 were both in the same game. I was there and the place went crazy with that OT win. Was sitting pretty close by to see the puck go off the goaltenders back and in. Happened so fast too. On thing I have learned going to games is don't look away for a second when McDavid is on the ice. There is a good chance that you will miss something. Also, in my opinion, watching him on television doesn't compare to seeing him live. Seeing him live is a real treat. And the closer you are to the ice, the better idea you get of what an elite talent he truly is.
We’re so lucky to have him here in Edmonton.. he’s a living breathing highlight reel. Oh.. it’s a penalty shot… Not a penalty kick…. Lol😊
In hockey they call it a penalty shot not kick
Fellas full points for putting up the hockey video and your reactions don't forget a couple things one, is a Canadian boy playing for Canadian team a Canadian flag would have been nice secondly number 97 likely and homage to the great Wayne Gretzky who was number 99 on the same team arguably the most impactful player ever keep going boys I loved it cheers
I'm a Canadian boy and I've come to love and appreciate football but think of this Conner's making those moves likely 5 or 10 times faster than a footballer shooting a puck 5 or 10 times smaller than a soccer ball into a net but either 5 or 10 times smaller than a soccer net and lastly at a risk of being body checked for punched in the face
Better than Gretzky.

Speed and agility while stick handling with his eyes on his opponents and not on the puck. If he stays healthy, he’ll break all the records
The season prior to this one was EPIC for highlights. This year McDavid produced more, but the highlights were not nearly as strong.
videos dont do him justice seeing him play in real life hes even faster
The best goals weren't even there ? lol wtf
The crazy thing is that none of these break his actual top 25 goals lol
Just wait until you look at his plays from the last few years added in. Yyyyyeeeep.
Gotta check out Makar's highlights. A defender with a similar highlight reel. Best edges in the league, you'd be baffled by the way he moves on the ice.
You guys have to do a video on Sidney Crosby !
It's the speed, why he is open so easily.
Ya gotta check out his final Junior year, almost all were end to end blow away acceleration AND speed then fake go around goalie and stop onna dime, short side. Amazing!
If your interested in a hockey video with interviews to give context of NHL moments, Sportscenter Top 10 has done a phenomenal job of showing the importance and perspectives of NHL's best moments
He is the best skater in the NHL. Skating to him is as natural as walking
His head is never down. watch these highlights he never looks at the puck. that is what i find amazing
You guys should watch the highlights regularly… McDavid is the kind of player that does this regularly but there's a bunch of players that have similar talents but nowhere close to that consistent
McDavid is probably the best player of his generation. His speed is what sets him apart from a lot of players today. You should check out Mario Lemieux, Sydney Crosby, Jaromir Jagr, Guy Lafleur, Gordie Howe and of course the greatest Wayne Gretzky.
As an edmontonian you can't fully appreciate mcdavid until you see him in action live. Its that much faster and more unbelievable in person.
Watch Connor Bedard world juniors highlights, if you guys loved McDavid wait until you see this kid who just turned 18!
The greatest hockey player, who also started out playing for the NHL's Edmonton Oilers in Canada, is the "Great One" Wayne Gretzky.
React to his all time highlights has has much better ones !!!
You have to watch his all time highlight, or highlights from 2021-2022….
Great job guys picking up on the body position! It is incredible. You lead with that knee to keep sticks away and make that cut he makes so many times. It's his first 2 strides that put him so far ahead of most players.
