Was the 2023 British GP the best British GP ever? The 2023 Silverstone GP was certainly an amazing event with 2 British drivers on the podium, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton. There was certainly a great buzz at the circuit and the fans were loving it! Everything was happening on track and behind the scenes at Silverstone; from the McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, the British GP podium celebration to Cara Delavigne’s F1 fiasco with Martin Brundle and of course Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes! Literally one of the worst races of the year. Lando’s start was fun, and Lando’s defense of Lewis for two laps while warming the hards was gripping. The rest was a dull processional bore. No strategy, no overtaking, 3 second gaps from front to back. None of the compelling midfield action we’ve had the rest of the year, despite everyone not named Max being closer than ever in qualifying.
It was good to see mclaren on form but that race was the worst of the year.

people always say that f1 is boring now because of strings of dominance. This is why that is not true.

Thanks for the Goodwood FOS heads-up. The trouble with any social media is, when you look at one totally off-topic thing once, it opens a Pandora's Box of pointless links that bury your preferred categories. As the FOS is an annual event, it gets stuffed way down the order. Back to F1 – thinking of finally doing Melbourne next March for the Aussie F1. It will be nuts if there are still two Aussies in the race by then.

Ricciardo isn’t very good. Sorry Aussies but Oscar was a tenth or two behind lando from day one while Danny was 4 tenths behind him at best. I can’t see him going anywhere cos the alpha is the worst car on the grid and he isn’t good enough for the redbull. He’s pissed off and left all the other good teams.. this is his swan song.
Most of the race was like watching paint dry. It was only the last laps that it got interesting. It was great seeing Lando come P2 though. And Danny Ric is back!! He must be agreeing to go to Alfa Tauri because either the Alfa Tauri will get all of the Redbull Design or he's got a chance at the 2nd Redbull seat.
Lewis wouldn't need so much security if he'd just keep his noncesensical politicks out of the sport….but she just can't help himself!
