@mikebansain I will stop replying now, as it seems to be pointless. I disagree with you, but I do think that it was a close fight. However, you probably need a break, as I think that the San Jose fans should really look at themselves after booing their own team in the playoffs on multiple occasions. That is shameful, and they have let down their team in their time of need. Hopefully the Sharks fans don't want another choke in the playoffs against the team they were supposed to sweep.
Oh. My. God. A HOCKEY player threw PUNCHES at another guys HEAD? Why?? Listen peeps when youre in a fight and you know youve taken a couple shots its only natural to want to get in the last one. Clifford isn't standing there analyzing Eager's dome anatomy judging what punch would conjure the most fan ire. I guess you'd know that if y'all had ever been in a fight.
@ktornado Great game tonight. Kings destroyed them..
1) Sharks came out in pink tutu's. Shit's weak
2) They're stupid for throwing slashes and punches when they had their only minute of momentum way back in the first period
3) Joe Thronton is the Dirk Nowitzki of hockey. No, that's an insult to Dirk. Joe Thornton is Kim Kardashian on skates. "Why do I always have to play DEFENSE?! This jersey's uncomfortable and I DON'T! LIKE! TEAL!"
@ktornado Good fight, but Eager didn't destroy him, I don't understand why people say " Oh this guy got rocked LOL " even though the other player isn't even hurting after the fight, no blood or damage was done, I wouldn't call that "Destroying somebody in a fight" I just call this fight a good fight, but no offense Eager doesn't know how to fight which is why he does no damage, he flails his hands around with all his strength, making his unprecise punches easy to dodge, but good fight.
@shadowhorsegym agreed, the code is you don't continue throwing fights at a guy when he's down, not when he's losing his balance Eager was. there aren't any other special rules about not throwing at the back of a guy's head particularly when he has a helmet on. it's OK, especially as others have pointed out, when he catches you with a sharp elbow early on and it's playoff hockey!! if the refs are going to start calling checks as pens, as they have, this is the only man's part of the game left!
@shadowhorsegym – I agree with the "dirty" comment. Anyone who sticks up for Eager in this fight is wrong. Another thing you don't do according to the "code" is hit the guy with an elbow on the way back after throwing the punch as he did early in the fight. He started swinging and got tangled so he elbowed Clifford in the side of the head. I have no problem with Clifford getting a few shots in as a result after Eager threw that elbow.
I'm a Sharks fan and I'll agree that Eager threw a couple elbows, but in a heated situation like that, how many guys in the league wouldn't fight like both of these guys did? Eager was pissed about some bullshit calls and anyone else in his shoes probably would have fought similarly. p.s. I really wish Clowe had gotten a chance to destroy someone.
man, clifford better start learning to tuck his damn chin or he's gonna keep getting touched up. his last few fights have been horrible. people are really tagging his jaw lately. he has heart, but that doesn't help you dodge bricks coming your way.
@stammeh22: agreed, and i actually like clifford. but, you're right. it was definitely clear that elbow happened when he was cocking to throw another punch at clifford. accidental all the way. good call.
@hankthetanksdad agreed. It's also hard to defend the elbow when eager clearly threw a backfist at the 16 sec mark of the fight which hit clifford on the chin. NOt a coincidence as far as i'm concerned. After that, the code goes out the window. This type of behavior is nothing new to eager. He's been like this his whole career but now that he plays for the sharks i guess SJ fans forget about his antics in the AHL/Philly/Atlanta.

clifford with those ~3 punches to the back of the head while eager was done was a really shitty idea. no respect for that.
@ktornado Clifford lost forsure, but he IS only 20 years old.

WHATS THE MATTER WITH CLIFFORD?!!!!!

@Epicmounts Clifford was bleeding…maybe you should watch and listen again.
@knowfear96 ?? bringing his arm back to throw another.. accidental elbow, pussy ass shit clifford did.
@BerryCZ what do you expect after you get an elbow to the ear to open a fight?
@shadowhorsegym agreed, the code is you don't continue throwing fights at a guy when he's down, not when he's losing his balance Eager was. there aren't any other special rules about not throwing at the back of a guy's head particularly when he has a helmet on. it's OK, especially as others have pointed out, when he catches you with a sharp elbow early on and it's playoff hockey!! if the refs are going to start calling checks as pens, as they have, this is the only man's part of the game left!

Eager Slaughtered Clifford
Eager may have won but he's still a worthless bum, there is tons of players that can do what he does and bring some offensive skill to
love the intensity! Oh Eager you're so hot. Way to stick up for your team! I love Clowe all excited and chirping. hahaha
lol the commentator left out the part where he hit eager when he was down..
@beefcakes42 and forgot to mention eager's elbow that pissed clifford off enough to do that
@dextertheninja last time i checked its a pretty common occurance in hockey.
@beefcakes42 pretty sure that's a penalty, and doing it in a fight is straight up shitty.
@dextertheninja yes its a penalty, but it still happens, and a fights a fight until it hits the ice…
Eager killed him… Clifford got a few cheap ones once Eager slipped… that was the only way he was lay a hand on Eager..
i say clifford won
How cute, someone didn't see Clifford's black eye the rest of the series
