Replacing Quinn’s skillset isn’t necessary, because he’ll return sometime around midseason. The Sabres also have other skilled scorers to handle that role in Quinn’s absence. If Adams adds another forward, it should be one who can add value to the lineup when Quinn is healthy, too.
So what are the Sabres lacking up front? Their two biggest issues last season were on the penalty kill and in the faceoff circle. Buffalo was fifth worst in the NHL in penalty kill percentage and last in the league in faceoff-win percentage. Finding a player with a different playing style who can rotate into the lineup when Quinn is healthy would be valuable.`

Kinda an odd article. Says we need a defensive forward and someone who can win faceoffs. Provides 5 options and none can do both lol.

I’m gonna be honest: I don’t see it.
I think Quinn’s “replacement” for the start of the year is Krebs/Mittelstadt, and the rest of lineup gets shifted around with pieces we already have.
We have an overabundance of forward prospects to use too. Might as well start using them. IMO, Rousek is going to be brought up, and I truly think he stays up

I know the off-season news is slow but bringing in a new player because of Quinn’s injury would be a self inflicted wound that would need to be treated later on.
This is a very simple non-problem, unless you bring someone else in and turn it into a problem. He’ll be back mid season, you fill the gap internally from Rochester if you bring in anyone from the outside, regardless of who or their talent level, you create another problem for yourself down the line when Quinn returns.

Development aside, Kulich is the fun answer.
