GOAL HORN POST!!!!

What is your favourite Flyers goal horn song, and why?

For me, it is easily 2003-04, “Song 2” by Blur!

Also, when did “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love” start? I know most people say 2003-04, but can only find evidence to the contrary.

Literally anything other than the last few years. Hopefully we get something good this year or at least a horn that lasts longer than 2 seconds

On a side note, it always bothers me how inconsistent the blasts are. there have been occasions last year that have been literally 1.5 seconds

It’s not a coincidence that the worst decade in franchise history started when they got rid of DOOP. Truly a franchise-altering mistake.

Note: I’m a biased Union diehard.

Bro Hymn or Doop. They’re both just solid songs for after a goal.

Bring back Doop!! My philosophy for goal horns/songs is that you need to have something that can be extremely catchy and easy to sing/chant for your fans but at the same time gets under the opponents skin or gives them PTSD when they hear it after being scored on a ton during playoff series. I.E: Chelsea Dagger for Chicago, Zombie Nation for Boston.

They had rotating songs in the early 2000s. Song 2 was the main one, but they would use the Chicken Dance for the 4th goal of the game, and mix in Rock and Roll Pt. 2 sometimes, often for OT or 3rd period go ahead goals. There was a Joan Jett song at some point as well. I think Ain’t Talking Bout’ Love started in ’05
