With the signing of Ben Meyers to a one-year, league minimum deal, the Colorado Avalanche roster is all but set. So today, we take a few players from that roster who we think will have an improved season. Maybe not an off-the-charts, welcome to superstardom type of season, but one where they took a step up from the season before.
We also look at the opposite, and talk about who could have a struggling year, and why.
We have now reached August. Which for the NHL season is when pretty much nothing happens. Is that a good thing, or should the league be more proactive in making news for the sports media and the fans?

Nichuskin? (Misspelled) if he did not pull his antics the Av’s probably would have been in the 2nd round!
Someone who i think is going to fall a little is honestly Rantanen. We all know he randomly likes to take games off and will be kinda invisible when he can, however last year he knew he had to be the guy game in game out because of all the injuries.
It wouldn't surprise me if we stay healthier if his numbers drop back to 40ish goals and 90 points
