Pinto can realistically expect to get in the 1.5 to 2.5 range. I think the writing is on the wall for Joseph although I would love to see him on the forth line instead of MacEwen, not that I know much about the latter. I don't really believe fighting is necessary but from what I've read he's a "tough guy" who looses a lot of fights, much like Watson was. If he can't score I hope he can skate and hit, otherwise, I would rather see Joseph in his place. I didn't notice Greig's name in their lineup?
This is the lineup I feel the Senators will start the season with (assuming Joseph gets moved): Tkachuk – Stützle – Tarasenko Giroux – Norris – Batherson Greig – Pinto – Kubalik Smejkal – Kastelic – MacEwen
The fourth line may be different but this is what I got.
The only problem with Shane Pinto playing for Ottawa is that he isn't big enough for the 3rd line.He has to improve his speed a little not a lot and play in the top six. Another thing Tarasenko is a left wing,he was in St Louis with Bradden Schenn before the Rangers move.A player like Backlund for Pinto and Norris for Pinto with some picks thrown in would be a playoff team. Wouldn't that bring the fans in.The Rangers played Tarasenko on the right wing, that's not his natural side. They weren't smart enough to see he is a left wing
