  1. Drysdale needs a short term deal. His injuries at least in my opinion rules out a long term deal right now. Maybe in a few years he gets that long extension but not now. If Zegras got the same as Terry id be happy. Sucks about Lunde.

  2. Lunderstrom had a chance to be a great bottom 6 or a good top 6 forward without last yr and now this yr's injuries. Damn shame. Silver lining, teams not ready to make any big runs just yet, fingers crossed his recovery goes fast and well. Bring on Carlsson, no reason to head back to SHL now, plenty of mins available at 3rd line center to develop.

  3. Major sports media in Canada is very annoying to watch so I come here. Cats and doodles over catty poodles.

  4. Funny thing management thought Anaheim should have made the playoffs last year which is hilarious to me.IDK maybe they thought Zegras could carry the team on his back similar to Crosby but not happening and management made some dumb moves moving out defense.
I don't like to make ANY predictions until i see teams in pre season because then I can see their prospects and in general how the team plays. The one issue I have with pre season is it is a FAKE platform for young talent because 99% of the time the teams already know who is going to be in the starting lineup.A perfect example Slafkovsky was out played by at least 5+ players who did not make the team so that is a slap in the face to all the prospects who come out working their ass off to make the team and have zero chance of making the team.

  5. Crazy as this sounds, when I did a hockey card stream yesterday i pulled 3 Lundestroms and now hes hurt…. CRAZY

  6. Mr Lundestrom, who's only 23, after 602 faceoffs last year, with a 47.5% win ratio (with that percentage, try comparing him to Cozens).HRef. Don't downplay Mr Lundestrom, he had a better % then both Zegras and McTavish…. the question will be, both Carlsson and Gaucher going into camp and Mr Getzlaf has to make Develop these guys. I hope the guys are really practicing at their faceoffs. {**McLeod in NJD***}. How many teams made trade offers for Lundestrom?? Mr Lundestrom only has 1 year left with Arb, and a 1.8 mil contract. It was a 3.6 over 2 year contract, did u look at takeaways/giveaways? I wouldn't be suggesting bottom 6 necessarily. If Anaheim doesn't want Lundestrom, get together with Columbus for some *possible exchanges, when he's healthy

  7. Lundestrom is a player where I think he is good, but his stats are really poor. He looks good doing nothing I guess.

  8. lundestrom is a underrated player, if he was playing in a franchise that has media, he would be more known.

  9. That media pressure can't be good on the family even if the player is willing to deal with it.

  10. Must be fun to play for a Canadian team. Teams suffer from below average management that the media tries to sugar coat as much as possible by hyping up any move they make and player they draft or sign. After creating all these baseless expectations, the media then attacks individual players for not performing up to the unreasonable standards they themselves created.

There's some merit to the idea that if you make a lot of money, then you have to deal with the pressure and perform well regardless of it. But for most Canadian markets, especially Toronto, the reality is that the players need to be paid a premium just for playing in that environment.

  11. If the trade-off for having to wait a little for the previews is bigger boards and more in depth, then I'm happy to wait. Looking forward to watching all 32

  12. Freaking Dubas said it was even a hard year on his family he's the GM. If personal attacks online are spreading to front office family yeah your fans are nuts. Look in the mirror and touch grass 🤦‍♂️

  13. Super weak comment from Gudas. We all have pressure and get critiqued at work, these guys just make millions to do it as a public figure. Winners don't make these comments. That is why Gudas is a second place player. If I were Anaheim and this is the first thing my new player has to say – that the Stanley cup was too high pressure….get him away from my young players before he infects them. Yikes. He's brought in as a mentor and tells guys immediately to shy away from pressure. Ouch.

  14. When Joe Nieuwendyk spoke to my class, he spoke for a while about the difference between his time in Calgary and his time in Dallas. He said it was nice to be able to leave the arena in Dallas and not have people heckle him on the way to his car.

  15. And generally there is one or two specifically toxic reporter or critics in each city that players will never please. These guys make it tough for any player to get comfortable when there are constantly having to deal with that stuff. Yeah, we are talking about you Jim Matheson you plug.

  16. Hockey players are a different breed. Some of it is good, some of it is bad. If a player doesn't like the pressure thats fine. They can go play in a market where nobody cares about the hockey team. Personally, I love the players that embrace the pressure and expectations. Also, this is why hockey stars will NEVER be as popular or as wealthy as other stars in other sports. Many hockey players simply dont want the spotlight.

  17. Losing Lundy is pretty huge for us Ducks fans. He’s a fairly good top/bottom 6 player and doesn’t get talked a lot bc being in Anaheim and not Terry/Z
