Jacob Markstrom Channelled His Inner Spartan Last Night. Should He Be Suspended?

  1. Markstrom played horrible last night. Bad choice by him. Hopefully we can bounce back. GFG

  2. am I the only one seeing a weak as spear into a area that is pretty well protected? I hate the flames but that is maybe a small fine worthy, not suspension.

  3. Can we get more highlights about the Leafs or maybe Gio or Blackwell ? Nobody cares about the Flames

  4. Is it just me or does it look like markstrom smacked the sharks players ass before spearing him

  5. No doubt… it's not like the players threw a slapshot at the net after the whistle.. they just tapped it in from inches away… get over it.. it was just an ego thing… sit him for a few… Dell got a few and he just stood in the way… if a d-man had done what Dell did.. probably would not have even gotten a 2 minute penalty… or the 2 for int at the most… but becuase is was a goalie a suspension… what Markstrom did gets normal players a game or 3 off.. should be no different for him…

  6. What's there to question? Of course he should be suspended. What if it were Marchand or Wilson? LETS GO RANGERS!!!

  7. markstrom was doing this stuff against the habs too a couple weeks ago, seems to be a normal thing for him

  8. I think he should be suspended 2 games. It may of been a poor sportsmanship play, but you gotta control your stick. And here, he def hits hard enough that injury is a real possibility. Your stick is a tool, not a weapon.

  9. Pshh please. Any player can get away with murder against the sharks. Now if it was a sharks player doing that guarantee 10 min misconduct double minor with suspension.

  10. Yes cheap and uncalled for should get two games like anyone else would have got Marchant would have got Minimum five games so let’s wake up NHL nobody is exempt

  11. Should he be suspended? Yeah, probably.
Will he be suspended? Extremely doubtful.
It seems like unless your name is Brad Marchand, Nazem Kadri or a random player that a specific reference has against that's playing in the game that ref is officiating/ a player that ALL the refs seem to hate and have it out for them, odds are you'll be basically left alone and free to do just about anything you want as seen here. It's not about how hard it was, it's the fact that he did it, period!!!!
We've seen it for years now but it appears as though this season is the worst yet for afficiating. If you watched many games this season of different teams you'll come to realize that some teams have it harder then others and some seem to have it much easier. Teams such as the Nashville Predators have drawn the most penalties of any team, the Pittsburgh Penguins drawn the least amount of penalties of any team and the Toronto Maple Leafs have the least number of drawn penalties against of any team. It does seem as though something is a scew such as a bid to help certain teams go further and for other certain teams to be pushed back. It's been a wide spread theory that Betteman has a bias against ALL Cznadian teams and will do whatever it takes to make sure an American team wind the cup every year. 2 great examples that support this is, 1. TB vs Calgary: Every true hockey fan knows that the Calgary Flames won the Cup that year but because of what they claim to be an error on the refs behalf, the Flames goal was never counted. 2. The last time a Canadian team won the cup was the first year Betteman was introduced to the league, and even than the Canadiens were not suppose to win it. For that we have to go back just a bit to the series before. Due to a 'missed call' on Wayne Gretzky, the Kings ended up winning that game and ultimately won the series again the Maple Leafs bit had the call been made, it very well could have been an all Canadian Stanley Cup final between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs, a show down that would have been amazing to see first hand and to add fuel to an already well burning fueled rivalry between the 2 original 6 Canadian teams. Ok, so it doesn't happen and instead a dominant LA Kings team is sent to take on the Canadiens du Montreal. Now, what's interesting about that series and what many people may not know is that although Montreal was, in manys opinion, the more dominant team, the Canadiens were nor suppose to win it but because of an error on LA's part and a smart coach of the Habs, LA was given a penalty that ultimately caused the Kings to lose the series and of course, the Cup. Apparently there have also been numerous leaked emails that have proven the bias-Ness of Gary Betteman but without actual sources to back it up, I'll have to believe that every fan of the sport and the league will have their own opinions on the topics I've touched on here and on many others.
