Gotta See It: Cizikas shorty 10 seconds after Penguins’ no-goal
Patric Hornqvist can’t believe this near-goal, but Casey Cizikas wastes no time to get the New York Islanders on the board by scoring less than ten seconds later on Friday night.
The accouncer is a moron. The puck was easily across the goal by 120%. The crossbar is in line with the goal line and the puck was clearly visible past the crossbar from the overhead view. The NHL rigged.
I know this is like 6 years ago but I just watched the other (penguins) broadcast of this play. Even that broadcast said that it was inconclusive and I would have to agree with both broadcasts. Looking at the overhead angle on the pens broadcast, the goalies glove was in between the goal line and the puck (the puck was above the glove) so you couldn't tell by looking at the goal line. It looked like the puck was completely to the right of the cross bar but looking at the camera angle the crossbar looked to be "to the left" of the goal line. Therefore the overhead angle wasn't directly above the goal line but actually slightly to the right
