Not sure if this is supposed to be an insult. If anything, being compared to Katy Perry means you're successful. She is worth 130 million dollars and is one of the most influential artists in pop culture currently. This taunt is not only misogynistic but also ineffective, given that Katy Perry is a formidable human being, definitely not an inferior, weak, or lame person. Are they complimenting Corey Perry? They're hoping to be seen on the big screen! They get excited like a cat in a mirror! Its new to them because they're new "fans" to the game. It's kind of like a kid playing with the buttons in an elevator! I think over time, say ten years from now the dip shits will be weeded out and they'll have a half decent true fan base. But for now, we'll just have to sit back and shake our heads in disbelief at them. It's very much like watching Euro trash soccer fans!
The teams in the USA have a great chant! It goes like this…"WE WANT THE CUP"! What's been separating the USA from Canada over the past 22 years is we have our eye on the prize and we wouldn't even think of chanting "Katy Perry"! The key to superior fans is focus! We won't be distracted with the Canadian fans obsession of seeing their image up on the big screen!
