I was at the game tonight. It was a total embarrassment as a Rangers fan. No effort from the majority of the team. Kreider, Stepan, Miller, and Hayes all needed to be benched.
How is this even a discussion? They lost the game, and the Rangers got shelled. Physical play doesn't work well against Montreal, especially after they beefed up majorly this season. If they were playing the speedy game they're supposed to be known for, the Rangers might be able to compete with Montreal, but as of right now the only player holding them in it is Lundqvist.
That penalty didn't matter. The rangers looked like an ECHL team out there. No heart and no guts. Zucc was the only one besides Glass out there playing physically
