Dubas has said from the beginning he doesnāt like buyouts.
Weāve seen a bunch of stuff coming out that Granlund had decent analytics. This fanbase just chooses to ignore that his linemates were Poehling and OāConnor.

Honestly I think everyone expecting a Granlund buyout is gonna be disappointed. Dubas has publicly said he doesn’t like buyouts. Still could happen I guess, but I just don’t think it should be expected.
Truly feels like for this off season to be successful they need to land karlsson. Their off-season moves were a big meh.
Iād bet money Granlund doesnāt get bought out, I felt like it was unlikely prior to but especially now with Guentzel being out to start the season. Granlund is gonna be playing in the top six now for at least a bit and I think people will be surprised once he actually has decent line mates around him. I wouldnāt be shocked for him to turn into Zucker from last year in the fact of how everyone wanted to run him outta town every year up until last season then people wanted to bring him back this offseason lol
Granlund comes in, move his whole family on a second’s notice to a new city, probably living out of a hotel, all these things people don’t think about, had to learn a whole new system, I’ll give the guy a chance this season, not saying he’s going to win the rocket or anything but he deserves a little more then 20 games before he’s written off as garbage, he could be a serviceable 3rd liner, he’s done it in the past in the NHL multiple times
I donāt know if he will do a buyout but I do expect a move tomorrow.
