  1. carolina will once again be a playoff team but they still lack THE guy in the playoffs. could’ve been in on tkachuk last year with all the prospects picks etc they have in their system. even with their amazing prospect core there is no superstar forward there. aho hasn’t been the superstar you’d like to see in the playoffs. i don’t know if he’s ever gonna be the showcased forward on a cup team. yes injuries hurt them but they lack star power, and don’t see them doing anything until they get it

tkachuk was literally right there I don’t get why they weren’t competitive for him. this would be a cup team if they were

  2. The canes are a safe bet to make playoffs, and maybe to win division. The Canes biggest problem is they need someone to step-up in the playoffs, if they can find someone to do that, their a serious cup threat!

  3. Patrick Kane could provide more scoring, and is effective on strong defense teams; also a proven repeat Stanley Cup winner

  4. I just don't like Kotkaniemi as a 2nd line center, I think they need to add more firepower at the center position to truly contend this year

  5. Last year they almost made it to SC final (yes, they got swept but won SOG with a big margin, Bob robbed them) with massive injury list. They have lost enough, they hate it. They are a fine tuned hockey machine. This is their year.
