Every time I see a stat about defensemen, Quinn Hughes is always right there among the top players. I know he gets a good amount of love on this sub, but discourse elsewhere always leaves him off

Man Colorado really leans heavy on their top 6. Lots of Avs forwards on this list
BARDLER
It’s crazy Owen Power was able to handle almost 24 minutes a night as a rookie defenseman.
Ghost_of_Krypteia
Death, taxes, and Drew Doughty logging a fuckton of minutes
MRR19898
I always forget how young Makar is
Sleazy_T
I am once again asking Todd to stop riding his horses so hard. With the minutes Kopitar and Doughty are getting you’d think we’re not a deep team at all.
Kooky-Seesaw9890
Nicholas Suzuki?

Damn, there’s almost a direct correlation with speed
electricnux
That’s a LOT of penalty minutes for Dahlin damn, no one in the top 10 is even close lol
stickyWithWhiskey
It’s nice having Miro on the ice for 25 minutes a night.
It’s also a goddamn curse. Can we please get the man some rest for the playoffs?
MrTubzy
Gotta scroll down a bit to hit Kuch and then even further to get to Hedman. And that’s it. That’s the list for the Bolts. Coop tries to keep minutes pretty low for everyone to keep injuries down.

Says a lot about the Islanders defense that we didn’t have anyone in the top 50

Jmo only bring 14th in ATOI for D men when he is such a work horse is insane. Most of the guys ahead of him make sense
propagandavid
Just going to point out that Suzuki is 9th on the list, and hasn’t missed a game so far in his NHL career while playing for the most injured team in the last 2 seasons.

i thought mcdavid is 26

Marner is tired at times which isn’t great
WhereOhWerewolves
Weird that Miller, Horvat and Pettersson are like 11, 12, 13 separated by 7 seconds considering they each played mainly centre for the same team.
Just4nsfwpics
Don’t get me wrong Suzuki and Matheson are very good players, and were consistently our best players (when Matheson was healthy) last season, but the fact that they rank *this* highly on our list when neither are franchise caliber talents show how injured and bad our lineup was.

It’s kinda interesting that out of the final 4 teams in the playoffs vegas, dallas, and carolina have no forwards on the list.

Eklund???
He’s bout to brake through
ubcthrowaway-01
Somebody get Doughty and Makar off the ice gawdamn
Steve_Hunts96
I’m absolutely mind blown when I look at this list, and I see ZERO VGK forwards in the top-30, and on the defenseman list, Pietrangelo is the lead guy in ice time for the team, and he’s… 18th among defenseman… that is insane how well they rolled 4 lines this past season!

Yup, the Pens’ 3rd pairing is barely going to see the ice.
brog5108
I love seeing that the only player we have on these lists is Jack. It’s so refreshing to have a deep team.

TOI sometimes means you are an elite player, but also your team lacks depth to afford to spread out the time
